Age 9 & Under -- "Riding for Kids" by Judy Richter (not pages 88-101).

Ages 10-21 -- "either the DVD "Undertanding Bits" by Stormy May OR "Complete Book of Bits and Bitting" by Elwyn Hartley Edwards.

Ages 10-13 -- "The Art of Training" by Hans von Blixen-Finecke.

Ages 14-17 -- "Lessons with Lendon" by Lendon Gray.

Ages 18-21 -- "The Elements of Dressage" by Kurd Albrecht von Zeigner.

JR/YR Clinic

 

We are excited to announce the CDS JR/YR Clinic format is now 2 days of riding.  The clinic will start with a lecture/pizza party Friday night and continue with two full days of riding.  

 

The dates for the Central Region CDS Junior/Young Rider Clinic is:

The Ventura chapter will send one rider/horse to the clinic.  If you wish to be selected (by random draw) please send an email to brunsjulia@gmail.com no later than April 30, 2023 with your name and horse info, along with why you wish to attend the clinic.

Transportation and stabling costs not included. The chapter will pay for only the cost of the clinic. In case of hardship, please contact Julia Bruns.
